I'm a tech enthusiast from Scotland - my life's mission is to develop and invest in technologies that improve people's lives.

Background

I currently live in London and I'm working on building something new in the data space.

I recently worked as a Lead Strategy & Operations Manager at Revolut where I led product operations, data and strategy teams, responsible for driving user growth, engagement and retention.

I grew up in Aberdeen, in the north-east of Scotland. At high school I graduated with a strong academic background, attending three separate state schools in my final year and successfully attaining the most A's ever achieved by a Scottish student (4A Advanced Higher, 8A Higher and 4A in National 5). I was also elected as Head Boy, representing a student body of 1,000+ students.

After leaving school I moved to London to join Generation Investment Management, a sustainability-focused investment management company co-founded by former US Vice President Al Gore. After Generation, I studied Computer Science at The University of Edinburgh. At university, I specialised my research focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning. I joined my degree having never written a line of code, and graduated as one of the top in my class, winning multiple prizes, including 1st Prize - IBM Award for Machine Learning (see Projects). For my final year thesis, I worked in collaboration with researchers at Conservation International's Moore Center for Science to develop a tool using machine learning and high-resolution satellite imagery to map forest re-growth autonomously.
